Behind the distinctive frontage of The Property Shop Yorkshire in Bridlington’s lively Quay Road, lies a story of a hard-working family man who’s poured his heart and soul into building up a successful business to offer the townsfolk a genuine, quality and reputable service.
Ryan’s experience in property refurbishment, letting and management stems all the way-back to 1997, when he bought his first block of flats in Bridlington.
After years of graft and honing his knowledge, skills and contacts within the property management trade, his chance to turn his passion into a professional full-time business came in 2013 when he proudly launched The Property Shop Yorkshire alongside his wife Kathryn.
In 2015, the husband and wife duo put themselves on the map and bought a shop situated on Quay Road.
Before long in 2018, demand for their expertise grew, and Ryan made the decision to move to a bigger premises – all the way over to next-door but one on Quay Road! He said: “We basically outgrew the first shop. It’s important to us that we have a physical presence on the street and plenty of room to be able to sit and chat with clients, be landlords or tenants".
Fast forward, In 2022, Ryan and Kathryn’s son, Ashley, joined the team after seeking an opportunity to become part of the family-run business. Having grown up surrounded by his parents discussing property, he had absorbed more than he realised and soon discovered a genuine passion for the industry, like his dad. Since joining, Ash has played a key role in driving the business forward, particularly in embracing the new era of technology that is shaping the future of the property sector.
Today, the business has grown and established itself as a trusted brand, with a strong local presence and community network.
